WHO IS YOUR FOUNDATION?

INTRODUCTION

Our Lord Jesus is the foundation upon which we should build our lives as His disciples. Anything that prevents us building our lives on Jesus as the foundation should be removed by the help of teachings from scripture, prayer and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus desire for every believer is that we grow into maturity in Him. If we lay the right foundation, he will take us from spiritual milk to solid food.

Scriptures:
Luke 1:80
And the child grew and became strong in spirit; and he lived in the wilderness until he appeared publicly to Israel.

Luke2:40, 52
40 And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him.
52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

Eph 4:13-16
13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

How do I become spiritually mature? Consider the following suggestions.
1. Understand spiritual authority
2. Study the word of God day and night and live it.
3. Cultivate the habit of prayer.
4. Do not forsake the gathering of the saints.
5. Be determined to play a role in church.
6. Do not let any situation or individual stop you from attending any church service.

Application
Eph 4: 14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.

1. Are you easily tossed about by situations?

2. Do you follow men of God around or are you building your faith on Jesus Christ.
